A first-team All-Big West selection, Shourds shot a 77 in the third and final round of the tournament.
STANFORD, Calif. – Holland Shourds completed her time in the NCAA postseason, shooting a five-over par 77 in the final day of the Stanford Regional.
Shourds had previously rallied from an opening day 81 with a one-under par 70 in the second round. She finishes the tournament in a tie for 73rd place overall among the 95 competing golfers in Stanford.
Only the top three individuals from non-advancing teams will continue as individuals to the NCAA Championship, and Shourds did not meet that threshold.
Shourds was just the third Long Beach State women's golfer to advance to the NCAA Regionals as an individual, joining Kay Hoey and Kassidy Teare. Shourds was also just the fourth LBSU golfer to win the individual Big West Championship, joining Hoey, Jennifer Yu and Haley Tygret.
