After opening for baseball and softball last weekend, all remaining venues will now be able to hold limited spectators.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – In partnership with city and university health officials, Long Beach State is excited to announce that lower tiers in statewide pandemic monitoring have allowed an easing of restrictions relating to in-person attendance at athletic events which will apply to Long Beach State.
Under the current tier of statewide openings under the advice of city officials, Long Beach State is able to provide seating for households up to four people in socially distanced pods six feet apart. Allowing for that spacing within Long Beach State's spring venues creates limitations on total seats available that will be under the limits prescribed specifically within the tier system.
Long Beach State is committed to providing the best possible experience for its student-athletes competing during this time. Families of student-athletes will receive first priority for seating which will take up all available seating for majority of Long Beach State's spring sports.
All visitors to campus will be required to fill out the University Health Screen Questionnaire each day they will be attending an event and will need to present that information to staff on site. Additionally due to state guidelines all attendees must be from the state of California and wear masks at all times while following social distancing guidelines.
Long Beach State's Clear Bag Policy will still be in effect for all fans. There will be no concessions at events, though fans will be allowed to bring in pre-packaged food as well as water and non-alcoholic beverages in pre-sealed containers. Visitors to the campus will need to purchase parking permits per University policy. Full guidelines can be found here.
Additional details for specific venues and ticket availability can be found below.
Baseball
The first priority for seating for Bohl Diamond at Blair Field will be for each Long Beach State student-athlete, who will receive a limited number of tickets to allow one household of family members to attend games.
There will be some additional room for fans to be able to purchase tickets. Socially distanced "pods" of four (4) will be limited to one household, and will be sold by series with no refunds provided for cancellations or postponements. All four tickets must be purchased, and will be sold by series for the remainder of the year. No tickets will be sold at the door and must be purchased in advance, in accordance with the timeline below.
Priority in purchasing seats will be given to Beach Athletic Fund members. For more information regarding this policy, please TEXT (562) 985-4949 for a quicker response, or fill out THIS FORM.
