Hannah Ko Named Big West Women’s Golfer Of The Month

Ko earns the honor for the first time in her career.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Sophomore Hannah Ko's consistency through the first month of the spring season has earned her Big West Women's Golfer of the Month honors as announced by the conference Thursday.
Ko finished tied for 11th at the Rebel Beach Intercollegiate and then place in the Top 10 at The Gold Rush, finishing tied for 7th overall after six outstanding rounds.
The sophomore had the low round of the month for Long Beach State, shooting a five-under 67 in the final round of the Rebel Beach Invitational at Spanish Trail Country Club, where LBSU will be hosting the Big West Championship in April. That closed off a 2-over 218 over 54 holes amongst the 11 team field.
In Long Beach State's home tournament of The Gold Rush at Old Ranch Country Club, Ko tied for seventh place overall while playing a big part in Long Beach State's Top 3 finish, placing in front of No. 27 Charlotte and BYU.
In three rounds, Ko shot 73, 73, and 74 to finish with a 4-over 220 to finish in Long Beach State's top two scorers in both tournaments in February.
