Long Beach State will welcome a pair of incoming freshman international students beginning in Fall 2021
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State head women's tennis coach Jenny Hilt-Costello announced the signing of two incoming freshmen for the 2021-22 season in Sheena Masuda Karrasch, from Hong Kong, China, and Zuzanna Szczepanska from Inowroclaw, Poland.
"We are excited to add Sheena and Zuzanna to our 2021-22 squad," said Hilt-Costello. "They bring a wealth of international tennis success to a young squad that will feature 75% underclass student-athletes in fall 2021. We are particularly excited about the doubles experience each brings to what is often a critical dual match point."

She has won seven ITF doubles titles, and represented Hong Kong in the junior fed cup where she qualified for the world finals. Masuda Karrasch has also won both a silver and bronze medal at the National Youth Games.
Zuzanna Szczepanska

Szczepanksa has won multiple gold medals in the Polish Junior Championships.
The Beach Tennis team looks to begin defense of the 2019 Big West Conference Championship this spring featuring four freshmen, one sophomore, one junior, and two seniors. The 2021 schedule continues to undergo pandemic-related modifications. Please check LongBeachState.com for all updates.
