Courtne’ Davis Competing at USATF Outdoor Championships This Weekend

Former Long Beach State sprinter Courtne’ Davis will represent the Beach this weekend at the 2019 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships in Des Moines, Iowa. Davis is one of 32 competitors in the women’s 200m dash, which begins with the first round on Saturday, July 27 at Drake Stadium.

DES MOINES, Iowa – Fresh off competing for Long Beach State at the 2019 NCAA Championships, departed senior Courtne' Davis will again represent the Beach this weekend at the 2019 USATF Outdoor Championships at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa. Davis is one of 32 sprinters competing in the women's 200m dash, which begins this Saturday.

Davis will compete against a talented field of professional sprinters that includes 2016 Olympic bronze medalist Tori Bowie. The 200m competition begins with the first round on Saturday at 1:33 p.m. CT. The women's semifinal is at 5:14 p.m. CT on Sunday followed by the 200m final on Sunday at 7:43 p.m. CT in the penultimate event of the meet.

There will be five heats in Saturday's first round, with Davis competing in Heat 2. She will be running in lane four against a field of Candace Hill, Deajah Stevens, Robin Reynolds, Brittany Brown and Gabby Thomas. The first round and semifinal can be seen on NBC Sports Gold while Sunday's final will be shown on NBC.
