Senior Hunter Epson was the Beach’s top finisher after firing a 66 in the final round for 6-under par
STOCKTON, Calif. – The Long Beach State men's golf team concluded the fall season with a fifth place finish at the Visit Stockton Pacific Intercollegiate as the Beach shot 856 for 8-under par.
Long Beach State dropped two places down to fifth on the final day of the tournament and finishes the fall season with two second place showings and pair of fifth place finishes.
The Beach came in behind San Jose State (16-under par), BYU (13-under par), Nevada (11-under par) and Santa Clara (10-under par).
Senior Hunter Epson made a push on the final day of competition as he sunk a pair of eagles on the sixth and 11th holes to conclude the round with a 66 for 6-under par to place in a tie for fifth (72-72-66=210).
Tyler Schafer and Owen Avrit finished in a tie for 22nd place as the pair each shot par with a 216.
Long Beach State will be back in action on Monday, Jan. 27 at the Arizona Intercollegiate in Tucson, Ariz.
