LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Dirtbags (24-26, 9-8 Big West) earned a sixth consecutive victory on Saturday afternoon, dominating UC Santa Barbara (22-24-1, 7-10 Big West) in a 12-0 victory on Bohl Diamond at Blair Field. LBSU scored six times in the third inning to bust the game open, and going back to Friday's comeback, the Dirtbags have scored 21 unanswered runs in the series.

Clayton Andrews delivered another brilliant start, throwing seven shutout innings with eight strikeouts. He gave up just four singles and hit a batter, but was never in any major trouble against the Gauchos as he picked up his fifth win of the year. Over his last three starts, Andrews has given up just one run in 22 innings (0.41 ERA), with an impressive 30 strikeouts in that span.
Andrews also had a pair of hits, including a double and scored twice. He was one of four Dirtbags with multiple hits on Saturday. Jarren Duran was 2-for-3 with three runs scored, Leonard Jones was 2-for-4 with a three-run double in the fifth inning, and Shaq Robinson also had two hits with a pair of RBIs.
Freshman Chris Jimenez continued to be a run producer, matching his career high with three RBIs to give him a team-best 29 on the season. Fellow freshman and former Etiwanda High School teammate Steven Rivas also had a solid day with an RBI double in the third inning, and a nice sliding catch on defense ranging into right center to take away extra bases. The Dirtbags had four extra-base hits on the day while UCSB had none.
Freshman Jake Lopez pitched the final two innings in relief to close out the win as LBSU clinched the series victory and will go for a second straight sweep on Sunday.
LBSU will send freshman LHP Adam Seminaris (1-5, 4.81 ERA) to the hill, going up against RHP Chris Clements (1-1, 4.25 ERA) for the Gauchos. First pitch on Mother's Day will be at 1 p.m.
