
Women's Golf Continues Spring Start At Mission Hills Invitational

Rancho Mirage, Calif. - Long Beach State women's golf continued a non-traditional start to the spring campaign by participating in the Mission Hills Invitational on Monday. Playing one round on the Pete Dye Course in Rancho Mirage, the schools counted individual stroke play with no team scores.
Junior Haley Tygret was the top finisher for Long Beach State, shooting an even par 72 on the day, one stroke ahead of senior Jennifer Yu who shot a 1-over 73.
Other scores for the Beach included Holland Shourds and Breann Fox, who both finished at 7-over 79, while Savannah Knox was one stroke behind that pair with an 80. Maria Davis rounded out the LBSU contingent with an 82.
Also participating in the event were UC Irvine, Colorado State, and New Mexico State. The Aggies had the top score of the day, as Suthavee Chanachai of NMSU shot a 2-under 70.
Long Beach State will begin tournament play by hosting The Gold Rush on February 12-13 at El Dorado Park Golf Course in Long Beach.
