FIRST TEE
The Long Beach State women's golf team travels to Northern California for their ninth tournament of the year, taking part in the Silverado Showdown hosted by Colorado and Oregon. The three-day, 54-hole tournament begins on Sunday (Apr. 9) with opening round action, followed by second round play on Monday (Apr. 10) and the final 18 holes concluding on Tuesday (Apr. 11). All three rounds will be contested at the par-72, 6,206-yard Silverado Resort North Course.
49ERS' STARTING FIVE
Junior Jennifer Yu, sophomore Breann Fox and Haley Tygret and freshmen Maria Davis and Holland Shourds will represent the 49ers at this year's Silverado Showdown.
SILVERADO FIELD
LBSU will be among an 18-team field at this year's Silverado Showdown in Napa. The 49ers will compete with No. 28 California, No. 33 Colorado, East Carolina, Gonzaga, Hawai'i, Iowa State, No. 13 Northwestern, No. 48 Oregon, No. 35 Pepperdine, No. 39 San Jose State, San Francisco, No. 3 Stanford, No. 30 TCU, No. 36 Texas Tech, UC Davis, No. 6 UCLA and Washington State.

LAST YEAR IN NAPA
LBSU finished in 15th place at last year's 18-team Silverado Showdown at the Silverado Resort North Course. The 49ers posted a three-day team score of 51-over-par 915 after posting round s of 311, 298 and 306. Former 49er Kassidy Teare led the way for the Beach, placing fifth out of 92 players at even-216 (71-73-72).
LAST TIME OUT
The 49ers are coming off from a 17th place finish at the 18-team Briar's Creek Invitational (Mar. 20-21) at The Golf Club at Briar's Creek at John's Island, S.C. LBSU posted a three-round score of 53-over 917 (302-307-308). Sophomore Haley Tygret was the top player for the Beach, tying for 18th at 2-over 218 (72-73-73).

The 49ers return to action on Sunday, Apr. 23, taking part in the three-day, 54-hole Big West Conference Women's Golf Championship at Oak Quarry Golf Course in Riverside, Calif.
