Li Finishes Runner-Up At Pizza Hut Pat Hicks Invitational

ST. GEORGE, Utah - Kymer Li shot a 71 in Tuesday's final round of the Pizza Hut Pat Hicks Invitational, finishing in second-place at Sunbrook Country Club.
Long Beach State recorded a 285 to jump two spots in the team standings to finish in third at 2-under 574.
Utah Valley captured the team title at 16-under 560, winning by nine shots over Utah State (-7) in second.
Li, playing as an individual for the 49ers, recorded a 36-hole score of 7-under-par 137 to finish just one shot behind individual medalist Matt Naumec of Boston College. The freshman from Hong Kong completed the two-day tournament with 10 birdies and 24 pars to post his best performance this season.
Sophomore Andres Gonzalez and freshman Hunter Reed tied for eighth at 2-under 142, after shooting a 71 and 72 respectively.
Sophomore Patrick Pockels carded a 72 to tie for 20th at 1-over, while redshirt sophomore Joe Fryer fired a final round 70 for a seven-shot improvement to tie for 26th at 3-over.
Senior Agostino Milazzo tied for 38th with a 75 at 6-over, while sophomore Spencer Koch, competing as an individual, tied for 42nd after shooting a 73 to finish at 7-over.
The 49ers return to action on Monday, Feb. 27, hosting the 21st Del Walker Intercollegiate at Virginia Country Club in Long Beach.
