Teare Falls In Second Round At NCAA Stanford Regional

STANFORD, Calif. - Kassidy Teare shot a 12-over-par 83 in Friday's second round at the NCAA Stanford Regional, tying for 81st place at the Stanford Golf Course.
Teare fell 39 spots in the standings after posting a 36-hole score of 16-over 158.
The senior from Vista, Calif. started the second round from the 10th tee as she pared the first four holes. She would bogey on the par-3 14th and par the 15th before running into trouble at the par-5 16th, where she would post a quadruple bogey to go 6-over. Teare would close out her last two holes on the back-nine with a birdie and a bogey. On the front-nine, Teare collected a birdie, three bogeys and two double-bogeys to end the day at 12-over.
Mariah Steakhouse of Stanford and Alana Uriell of Arkansas shares the lead at 3-under as both players hold a one-shot lead over two players tied for third.
Tournament host Stanford leads the field of 18 teams at 1-over as the Cardinal leads second-place USC by two strokes.
Final round play concludes on Saturday with Teare teeing off at 8:20 a.m. from the 10th tee and will be paired with Martina Edberg of Cal State Fullerton and Paige Lee of UC Davis.
