Women's Basketball Banquet Set for April 12

LONG BEACH - The Long Beach State women's basketball team will hold its end-of-the-year banquet at Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach on Tuesday, April 12.
Check-in begins at 6 p.m., and cost for the banquet is $40 per person.
The Beach will celebrate its 2015-16 season, which was one of the best in recent history. LBSU registered its second consecutive 20-win campaign and made its third WNIT appearance in four years.
The 49ers finished the season with an overall record of 24-9, marking their most wins since 1990-91. They also tied for second in the Big West regular-season standings at 12-4 and advanced to the semifinals of the conference tournament.
Junior Raven Benton, who became Long Beach State's 24th 1,000-point scorer, earned first-team All-Big West honors. Classmates Jewelyn Sawyer and Anna Kim also garnered honorable mention recognition, while Sawyer was named the Big West Defensive Player of the Year.
