Taverrite Tied For Fifth After Opening Round In Utah

ST. GEORGE, Utah - Long Beach State sophomore Felicia Taverrite posted a 1-over-par 73 in Thursday's opening round of the Pizza Hut Lady Bird Invitational, tying for fifth place at Sunbrook Golf Club.
Taverrite is just five shots behind individual leader Hallie Getz of South Dakota State as she leads the field of 79 players at 4-under 68.
Freshman Breann Fox shot a 75 to tie for 13th, while fellow classmate Haley Tygret carded a 77 to tie for 21st.
Final round play concludes on Friday with a 7:30 a.m. (PT) shotgun start.
