
Kevin Lee Ties For !0th At Nick Watney Invitational

FRESNO, Calif. - Senior Kevin Lee fired a 1-under-par 70 in Tuesday's final round of the Nick Watney Invitational at Fort Washington Golf & Country Club, tying for 10th place at 4-under 209.
Long Beach State posted its highest score of the tournament with a 284 to drop one spot in the team standings to tie for sixth with San Diego at 4-under 848.
Saint Mary's captured the team title at 27-under 825 as the Gaels held an eight shot lead over tournament host Fresno State (-19) in second and 10 strokes over California (-17) in third.
Lee started the final day from the first tee recording five consecutive pars before picking up his only bogey of the round on the par-4, No. 6. The La Palma native would go onto close out the front-nine paring the seventh and eighth holes and birding the par-5 No. 9. After making the turn onto the back-nine, Lee would par the next eight of nine holes before collecting his second birdie of the day on the 16th hole to finish the final round at 1-under 70.
Seniors Michael Chen and Daniel Chian tied for 18th at 2-under 211. Chen posted a final round 72, while Chian shot a 71.
Junior Agostino Milazzo carded his best round of the tournament, shooting an even-par 71 to move up in the standings by four spots to tie for 51st at 5-over 218.
Freshman Spencer Koch and junior Jonny Hogan playing as an individual, tied for 74th at 14-over 227. Koch carded a 73 to move up three positions, while Hogan shot a team high 81 to drop 24 spots in the standings.
The Gaels' Pavan Sagoo won individual medalist at 16-under 197, leading the field of 80 players by four shots over Alex Chiarella (-12) of San Diego.
LBSU returns to action on Monday, Oct. 19, making the short drive up to Simi Valley for the Bill Cullum Invitational at Wood Ranch Country Club hosted by CSUN.
