The Ontario, Calif. native capped off a historic rookie campaign that saw her gather plenty of recognition. Gonzales was named the Big West Conference Freshman of the Year, while also receiving second-team all-conference honors while being selected to the league's All-Freshman Team in November.
She was the driving force behind the 49er offense with a team-high nine goals, four of them game-winning, 20 points and 56 shots. Gonzales became the first freshman in conference history to earn back-to-back Big West Offensive Player of the Week accolades during the regular-season.
The freshman sensation also received regional recognition, as she was named to the 2014 NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division I Women's All-West Region third team last month.
Long Beach State, which advanced to the Big West Tournament Championship game for the third time in five seasons, will return 10 of 11 starters for the 2015 season.
