Long Beach, Calif. - Long Beach State has partnered with Time Warner Cable on a new television advertising package that will increase promotion of Beach Athletics events across the Southland. Starting this week, almost 350,000 Time Warner households and subscribers in the greater Long Beach, South Bay and Orange County areas will be directly impacted by the agreement, while not affecting the Athletics budget.
The partnership will allow advertising on television sets and mobile devices during morning, daytime and evening primetime slots on key sports channels including the ESPN and Fox Sports family of networks, as well as the NBC Sports Network.
More specifically, the primary areas of exposure include the Long Beach area, Cerritos, San Pedro, Palos Verdes, Lakewood, Downey, Torrance, Carson and South Bay. Additionally, the coverage includes all of Orange County, including Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Irvine, Fullerton, Anaheim, Orange and beyond.
"In the era of DVRs and various other digital platforms, sports make up some of the only TV programming viewers still feel compelled to watch live, regardless of the device," said Sr. Associate Athletics Director Dedan Brozino. "This partnership with Time Warner is key because it creates a unique opportunity for us to expand our brand and evolve our digital marketing strategy to reach a larger demographic in Southern California."
