LONG BEACH - Long Beach State women's head golf coach Joey Cerulle has announced the signing of Breann Fox and Dianna Kim to National Letters of Intent. Both players will join the Beach for the 2015-16 season.
Fox (Chino, Calif.) was the 2011 Ventura County Junior Golf Player of the Year. The senior at Ontario Christian High School is a starter on the boy's golf team and a Scholar Athlete. Fox won the 2013 Long Beach Junior Open and earned top-three finishes at the Desert Classic, JAGS Junior Championship and JAGS President's Junior Cup. She is currently ranked 126th in the country on the Junior Golf Scoreboard.
"Breann is hard working and dedicated to her craft," Cerulle said. "She's also bright and self-motivated which fits in well with the team. Breann and I are excited about about her joining the Beach family."
Kim (Torrance, Calif.) joins the long tradition of quality players from Torrance High School. In 2011, she finished third at the CIF Southern California Regional and eighth at the CIF Girl's State Championship. Kim is also ranked in the top-100 on Junior Golf Scoreboard in 2011.
"Diana is a hidden gem," Cerulle said. "She has shown the ability to play with the top players in the country. Our team environment will bring out the best in her and we look forward to seeing her reach her potential."
