LONG BEACH - The Long Beach State women's basketball team will be holding its annual summer camps in June and spots are still available for all three sessions.
The 49ers host their Team Camp, June 20-22. Team Camp is open to all girls' high school and club teams. Each team is guaranteed six games (two per day) and all games will be played in the Walter Pyramid. The camp also includes clinics in the areas of shooting, passing, defense and post/perimeter skills.
The Elite Position Camp will be held June 23-24. All players, grades 8-12, are welcome to this intense and exciting position camp. This camp is for athletes looking to play at the next level. Skills specific to point guard, perimeter and post play will be taught as well as ball-handling, passing, offensive moves, shooting and defense. Various competitions and contests will also be held.
The Individual Youth Camp is slated for June 27-30. Players of all skill levels, grades 3-8, are welcome to this fun and exciting camp, which is geared toward both the younger basketball player looking to learn the game or the more experienced player ready to improve their fundamental skills.
