Hicks heads to USA Track & Field Championships

LONG BEACH - While the 49ers wrapped up the 2010 season at the NCAA Championships two weekends ago, junior All-American Randi Hicks will continue competition at the USA Track & Field Championships in Des Moines, Iowa.

Hicks will be competing in the women's javelin throw, which is scheduled for Friday, June 25, at 6 p.m.

Hicks recently garnered All-America honors after placing 12th overall at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. The Big West Conference champion also established a school and league record earlier in the year when she notched a lifetime-best 170-11 at the Ben Brown Invitational (March 6).
