Long Beach, Calif. - Long Beach State women's basketball camps are coming up, and are looking to fill the remaining spots for this summer. The 49ers are offering two team skills camps in addition to an individual camp this July.
All camps are under the direction of head coach Mary Hegarty and the 49er coaching staff, and will offer collegiate-level skills training and practice techniques.
The first camp offered is the 2008 Team Camp, running from June 23rd through June 25. Each team is guaranteed at least six games, and the camp will feature clinics for post and perimeter play on the second and third days.
The following two days will be for the Position Camp, which can be attended separately or together with the Team Camp. With position-specific workouts taught by the Long Beach State coaching staff, advanced skills will be the focus of the camp.
Finally, the team will host an individual camp from July 14-18, which is open to both boys and girls ages 7-17. Led by the 49er coaching staff, the camp will also feature a number of high school coaches as well as collegiate and professional players in a camp including station work, competitive competitions as well as 5-on-5 play.
For more information on the camps, contact Mario Trutanic, Director of Operations at (562) 985-2210 or by email at mtrutani@csulb.edu.
