49ers Cruise Past CS Fullerton 7-0

LONG BEACH-- No. 38-ranked Long Beach State (2-2) had little trouble
with conference foe CS Fullerton (0-4), defeating the Titans 7-0 on Friday
afternoon at the El Dorado Tennis Courts.
Hannah Grady at the No. 1 position cruised by Erin Wiesener, 6-0, 6-0
after teaming with Stephanie Bengson to defeat Wiesener and Cheyenne Inglis
8-0. It was Grady's second win over the Wiesener family this spring, as
she previously defeated Erin's older sister Monica Wiesner 6-0,6-0.
Bengson with the win moved to No. 3 all-time with 119 combined wins, while
Grady is one win away from 100 combined wins in her career.
Freshman Lisa Sutton, playing for the first time in singles play defeated
Breanna Stowell at the No. 6 position 6-0, 6-1.
The doubles team of Stephanie Jeanes and Jessica Weeks remained undefeated
for the week, after defeating USC's No. 2 team on Wednesday, taking care
of Breanna Stowell and Shelly Injejikian, 8-3.
The 49ers will host No. 33-ranked LSU (1-0) on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. which
will feature a marquee matchup of the 49ers top player Hannah Grady taking
on No. 8-ranked Megan Falcon.
