MADISON, Wis. (AP)--Marcus Landry scored 23 points and No. 25 Wisconsin held on for a 68-61 victory over Long Beach State on Sunday.Landry had two big baskets and a pair of important blocks late in the game. The senior forward gave Wisconsin a 59-57 lead with less than 4 minutes to play, just moments after blocking Donovan Morris' shot.
But the 49ers stayed close until Landry made a 3-pointer with 29.9 seconds left. Landry then swatted away Maurice Clady's layup attempt.
Wisconsin led by as many as nine in the second half, but Morris single-handedly rallied the 49ers.
Morris, who had a team-best 12 points, scored on five straight possessions to cut it to 57-55 with 6:59 to play.
