Long Beach, Calif. - On Oct. 25, Long Beach State basketball will open the Walter Pyramid doors to the public for its annual open practice. For one day, the community will be able to get a free, first-hand look at both the men's and women's teams as the train for their respective season openers.
During the day, season-ticket holders will also have the opportunity to hand-pick their seats in the Walter Pyramid for the 2008-09 season.
Events start in the morning at 9 a.m., as the men's practice begins the day followed by an intrasquad scrimmage. The women's team will then take the floor for a practice followed by their Black and Gold scrimmage starting at 1 p.m.
In between the pair of practices, a free kids clinic will be hosted by both the men's and women's teams. Any child (ages 4-14) participate in the clinic instruction, which will focus on basketball fundamentals.
