Hoey Tied For 74th
Junior Shoots A 5-Over 77

DAYTONA BEACH, FL-- Long Beach State's Kay Hoey shot a five-over 77 in Wednesday's second round of the 2007 NCAA Women's Golf Championships at the LPGA International Legends Course in Daytona Beach, FL. Hoey is tied for 74th place after the second round, which saw just seven of the 126 golfers shoot even par or less. Overall Hoey stands at 12-over with a 156 (79-77). Standing in first place is Purdue's Christel Boeljon who has shot a three-under 41 (72-69) on the 6,351-yard, par 72 course. Stacy Lewis of Arkansas is in second place with a two-under 142 (71-71).

On the team front, Duke stands in first place with a 587, followed by UCLA with a 594. UC Irvine is tied for 16th place with a 617. Round three takes place on Thursday morning as the tournament runs through Friday.
