LBSU Baseball Picked Fourth

Dirtbags Picked Fourth in the Big West IRVINE, CA-- Long Beach State Baseball, ranked No. 30 in Collegiate Baseball's pre-season poll, is picked to finish fourth in what looks to be a very tough Big West Conference. CS Fullerton, which is in the top-20 in both major polls, is picked to win the conference following by UC Riverside, which is No. 26 in Baseball America. UC Irvine, who is No. 38 in Baseball America is picked third, following by the Dirtbags, Cal Poly, UC Santa Barbara, Pacific and CS Northridge. Last year LBSU finished in second place with a 12-9 record. LBSU has finished in the upper half of the conference every year since 1989, winning seven conference titles and finishing second another seven times. The Dirtbags are currently on the start of their first week of practice as they host their Alumni Weekend from January 25 to 27, and open the season with USC on February 2-4.Season tickets remain on sale starting at $120 by calling (562) 985-4949.
