Gray Sets School-Record in First Indoor Meet ALBUQUERQUE, NM-- Long Beach State junior Brent Gray set the school-record in the indoor 60-meter dash, finishing second with a time of 6.85 (altitude adjustment) to move on to Saturday's final and to highlight the 49ers at their first full indoor meet of the season, the Dan DeHart Invitational. He beat Charles Lewis' year old record of 6.90 aa. Robert Jennings fell three feet off his personal best in the weight throw and finished third with a toss of 60'1.00". Ezra Kwong meanwhile tossed a personal-best for 55'4.25", as the mark keeps him at fourth-best in school-history. Kwong finished seventh. Outdoor All-American Ronald Carter posted a mark of 23'0.75" in the long jump for ninth place, while Jill Reyolds was ninth in the pole vault with a mark of 12'4.5". The New Mexico meet continues through Saturday, while the distance program for LBSU will be in Seattle on Saturday for the Husky Indoor Invite. |
