Trio Earns Big West Weekly Honors
Reynolds, Jennings and Lewis Earn Accolades

RVINE, CA -- Three Long Beach State athletes were named Big West Track & Field Athletes of the Week for their performances last Saturday. Sophomore Jill Reynolds (Castaic) and juniors Robert Jennings (Downey) came away with the field honors while Charles Lewis (Carson) shared the honor as co-male track of the week with CS Fullerton's Marques Barosso.

Reynolds won the open division of the pole vault with a tally of 12'5.50" at the UC San Diego Invite on April 22. She twice broke her previous best (11'11.75) with jumps of 12'1.5" and 12'5.5", the latter which she cleared on the first jump. With the mark, she ties for the best mark in the conference and now has the second-best mark in school-history. It was also her first regional qualifying mark.

Lewis was fifth with a time of 21.45 in the 200 meter and finished second in the 400 meters with a time of 48.31 at the Oregon Invitational. His perfomance in the 400 meters was a season best and the 200 meters was a career best. He leads the Big West in the 200m and has the third-fastest 400m time.

Jennings, recorded a mark of 180'0" in the discussat the Triton Invite. The discus mark was not only a personal best, but also marked the 10th best throw in school history. He leads the conference in the discus and ranks second in the hammer.
