Duo Headed to NCAA Championships

Duo Headed to NCAA Championships This Week LONG BEACH, CA-- Long Beach State roommates and former walk-ons Haben Hagos (Los Angeles) and Ronald Carter (Gardena) will head to their first NCAA Championships this weekend in Sacramento. Hagos will compete in the high jump on Thursday and Carter will compete in the triple jump on Friday. Hagos, who finished tied for fourth at the NCAA Regional with a jump of 6'11", will compete in his first and final NCAA event, after reaching the NCAA Regional in each of the last three years. Carter received a late at-large bid in the triple jump, after finishing sixth at this year's regional with a jump of 50'11". Carter, a junior, will return for one more season with The Beach next season. |
