Beach Finishes In 21st Place At NCAA Regionals

SUNRIVER, OR--The Long Beach State men's golf team finished in 21st place at the NCAA West Regionals at Sunriver Resort in Bend, OR. The Beach shot a 309 on the final day and finished with a final score of 915. The Beach did finish ahead of Big West rival UC Irvine (918) and Stanford University (921). UCLA won the team title with a six-over-par 865. New Mexico came in second with an 866.

Individually, Jeremy Keller finished tied for 30th place with a 221 (73-75-73) and senior Torey Edwards tied for 81st place with a 230 (77-78-75). The individual title ended in a tie as Travis Johnson (UCLA) and Chris Nallon (Arizona) both shot a five-under-par 211.

The top 10 teams in the NCAA West Regionals advance to next weekend's NCAA Championships in Virginia.
