Beach In 2nd Place After Two Rounds
Senior Torey Edwards Tied For 2nd Place

STOCKTON, CA--The 49er men's golf team, in their season-opening tournament, are in second place after two rounds of the Pacific Invitational at The Reserve at Spanos Park. The 49ers shot a 572 (287-285) and are just seven shots behind tournament leader Georgia Southern (565). CS Northridge and UC Irvine are tied for third at 573.

Leading the way for The Beach is senior Torey Edwards who is tied for second place. Edwards shot a seven-under-par 137 (70-67) for two rounds. UC Irvine's Vinnie Poncino is the tournament leader after shooting a 135. Freshman Ryan Wood, who is competing as an individual, is in 11th place with a 141 (70-71) and redshirt freshman Brett Lederer is tied for 19th place with an even par 144 (71-73).

The tournament will conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday.
