The 49ers held the Tigers' top two players scoreless in the second half, leading scorer Gillian d'Hondt to 0-of-10 shooting and Nancy Dinges without a shot. The Beach also came back from a 10-point halftime deficit to lead by as many as five in the second half, and held Pacific to just 23% over the final 20 minutes. Candice Wilson would twice go to the line with 14 seconds left, making the first two with 14 seconds left, before making 1-of-2 with 5.1 seconds left. LBSU shot 39% for the game, including 44% in the second half. D'Hondt led UOP with 16 points, while Dinges added 10 points, all in the first half. Wong, who played every second, added 10 points, nine rebounds and five assists. D'Hondt led all players with 11 rebounds. The Beach led 62-57 with 2:10 left on a layup from Johnson and used a 15-4 run to open the half, and take a 49-45 lead with 9:25 left on a three-point play from Christina Mack. The Tigers missed 21 of their first 24 shots. UOP ended the half on a 7-0 run to lead 41-31. A Dinges' three with 14 seconds left extended the lead to double digits for the first time. The Tigers limited the 49ers to 34% shooting, while Pacific hit 52% of its shots. D'Hondt led all scorers with 16 first half points. The Beach had closed to 34-31 on a Wilson bucket with 5:06 left, before the Tigers closed the half with seven unanswered. After LBSU led 18-16 with 10 minutes left, Sarah Feely's running jumper with 8:23 left in the first half, capped an 8-0 run and gave Pacific a 26-18 lead.
