The Lady Dons led 27-15 at the half, as The Beach would go on a flury over the final two minutes, going on a 9-2 run on 4-of-6 shooting, to close to within 27-15. The 49ers shot just 19% in the first half, compared to USF's 33%. The Lady Dons scored 23 unanswered points to lead 25-6, before Johnson's layup with 2:09 left broke a 14:38 scoring drought by the 49ers. LBSU missed 23 of its first 25 shots. USF led 18-6 with 5:29 left on a baseline jumper from Merisa Leatherman. LBSU led 6-2 with 16:47 left on a Mack steal and layup.
