Sophomore Heeyoung Cho Tied For Fifth After First Day

CALIMESA, CA--The Long Beach State women's golf team is in third place after the first round of the 2001 Southern California Intercollegiate Tournament, being held at the PGASC Golf Course in Calimesa, California. The Beach shot a combined 311 leaving them 13 shots behind team leader Pepperdine which shot a 298. Leading the way for the 49ers was sophomore Heeyoung Cho, who shot a 75, three-over-par. She is thee shots behind the individual leaders, Lindsey Wright and Katherine Hull of Pepperdine, who both shot a 72.
