Home of the Long Beach State softball team since 1993, the LBSU Softball Complex is an 500-seat facility located in the heart of campus.

Since moving to the Long Beach State Softball Complex, Long Beach State has advanced to the NCAA championships 11 times, most recently in 2009. Additionally, the Beach have also won six Big West titles, all coming during their tenure at the LBSU softball complex.

The field is traditionally considered a pitchers park, with dimensions of 210 feet down the lines and 220 to center field and an ocean breeze coming from center field on most days.

The softball field's capacity has occasionally been raised with additional outfield seating as well as seating down the left-field grass patio area, with the attendance record being set on February 12, 2000, as well as a game carried by the ESPN networks on April 19, 2009 against UC Santa Barbara.

In addition to being the home of the softball team for both games and practice, the field is used by the Special Olympics each summer, and has been utilized for a number of charity celebrity softball games, owing to its location in Southern California.
