Carlos Perez joined Long Beach State in March 2023. Perez oversees the strength and conditioning programs for Women's Soccer, Softball, and Track & Field Multis/Vaults.
Before his current role, Perez made significant contributions at both CSUN and USC, where he designed and led training programs for various sports, including Men’s and Women’s Volleyball, Soccer, Softball, Baseball, and Basketball. His experience extends beyond collegiate athletics into the private sector, where he worked with individuals recovering from various injuries, further honing his skills as a well-rounded coach.
Perez earned a Master’s degree in Applied Exercise Science with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning from Concordia University Chicago in 2021. He completed his undergraduate studies at CSUN in 2019. Perez is certified as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator (TSAC-F).
