Natalie Reagan enters her second season at the helm of the Long Beach State women’s volleyball program in 2025, following a strong debut campaign that solidified her status as a rising star in the coaching ranks.

Initially named interim head coach in February 2024, Reagan’s leadership quickly earned the trust of Executive Director of Athletics Bobby Smitheran, who appointed her as the program’s permanent head coach in November of the same year. In her first season guiding the Beach, Reagan led the team to a 19-11 overall record, a berth in the Big West Championship semifinals, and a pair of marquee victories: an emphatic home sweep of Washington State and a four-set win over Pepperdine. Four players earned All-Big West honors in 2024, including first-team outside hitter Natalie Glenn.

Reagan made an immediate impact upon her arrival at Long Beach State in 2023 as an assistant coach. Her first season on the bench helped power the program to its best season in nearly a decade, finishing 21-10 overall and 13-5 in Big West play while advancing to the conference championship match. That 2023 squad delivered landmark wins—including a four-set victory over top-ranked and defending national champion Texas at the Walter Pyramid, a 3-1 triumph over Indiana (LBSU’s first win over a Big Ten team since 2015), and a road sweep at Arizona—the program’s first over a Pac-12 opponent since 1992. In conference play, the Beach snapped an 11-match skid against Hawai’i with a dominant three-set victory—its first sweep of the Rainbow Wahine since 1997.

That breakout season featured five All-Big West selections, the most for LBSU since 2018. Zayna Meyer earned Big West Setter of the Year honors and became the program’s first major Big West award winner in a decade, later collecting AVCA Pacific South All-Region Honorable Mention accolades. Meyer was joined on the All-Big West first team by Katie Kennedy, with Elise Agi and Natalie Glenn named to the second team and Kameron Bacon earning honorable mention recognition.

Before joining the Beach, Reagan served as head coach at Harvard-Westlake School, where she led the Wolverines to the CIF Division I Southern Regional Championship—the highest division state title in school history. Her success garnered national recognition as she earned AVCA All-Region Coach of the Year honors and a spot on the AVCA “Thirty Under 30” list.

Reagan’s collegiate coaching resume includes four seasons at Loyola Marymount as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator, where she helped guide the Lions to their first NCAA Tournament win since 2015 and to consecutive Top 30 recruiting classes. She also served as technical coordinator at Nebraska, contributing to three NCAA Tournament teams and the 2015 National Championship squad.

As a student-athlete, Reagan competed at Oregon State before transitioning into the coaching ranks as the Beavers’ assistant director of volleyball operations, where she handled practice logistics and statistical analysis using Data Volley. She has also worked with USA Volleyball as an assistant coach and technical coordinator, including roles with the 2016 U.S. National Team and Pan Am Cup squads.

Reagan and her husband, Kevin, reside in El Segundo.
