Jon Parry was hired in his second stint at the Beach as the statistical coordinator at Long Beach State in 2018. He currently serves as the statistical coordinator for the Long Beach State men's and women's volleyball team.

He previously spent the 2016 and 2017 seasons as the director of operations for the Penn State women’s volleyball team.

In his return to the Beach, Parry was instrumental in Long Beach State’s 2019 NCAA National Championship run as LBSU concluded the season with a 28-2 overall record and a 10-0 Big West Conference ledger. Long Beach State remained perfect inside the Walter Pyramid for the third-straight season as the Beach boasted a program-record 43-match win streak at home.

In 2022 and again in 2024, Long Beach State reached the NCAA Tournament finals. In 2024, the Beach went 9-1 in Big West play before winning the conference tournament title. The men's volleyball team won the 2025 NCAA national championship.

Parry’s extensive experience at the collegiate, high school, and club levels have been an immense asset to the Beach. Last summer, Parry was named to the 2020 Boys Youth National Training Team staff and will serve as the team statistician.

While working with Penn State, Parry oversaw the day-to-day operations of the program, all aspects of team travel, the sports camps and clinics, as well as operated the DataVolley, DataVideo, and VolleyMetrics programs. With Parry on staff, the Nittany Lions won the 2018 Big Ten Championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament Semifinals. In 2017, with Parry in his first year on staff, Penn State made an appearance in the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen.

In his first stint with the Beach, Parry served as the director of operations where he was responsible for coordinating video and running the statistical software for DataVideo and VolleyMertics. In his final season with Long Beach State, the Beach made a run to the NCAA Tournament and finished the season with a Final Four appearance.

In addition to his collegiate experience, Parry has five seasons working with USA Volleyball. Most recently, Parry traveled with Team USA for the 2019 Lima Pan-Am Games after having made trips to the 2018 World Championships, 2018 Pan American Cup, and 2015 World Cup with both the Men’s and Women’s National Teams where he worked as a scout coach, statistician, and volunteer coach.

Parry has previous held positions as a club volleyball coach with Balboa Bay and Orange County Volleyball Club. He also served as the head volleyball coach for both the boys’ and girls’ junior varsity and freshman/sophomore teams at Capistrano Valley High School from 2007-13.

As a club coach, Parry led the BNJC Open Division 17s to a silver medal in 2014 and a bronze medal in 2015. He also coached the SCVA Junior Boy’s Classic 14s to a bronze medal in 2014. In 2012, his boys’ 14s club team took gold at the SCVA Holiday Classic. Parry also earned a bronze medal as a player in 2008 with the BJNC Open Division 18s.
