Cameron Green is in his first season as an administrative assistant at Long Beach State.
Green comes to the Beach from USC, where he spent the last four seasons as an assistant coach. He was also a volunteer assistant (2011) and administrative assistant (2009-10) for the Trojans.
Green is a longtime successful club, high school and beach coach. He has been with the Southern California Volleyball Club since 2007 and has served as an SCVC club director since 2010. As a coach, Green led his boys' 17's team to a gold medal (2012) and a pair of bronze medals (2009, 2011) at the Junior Olympics. He was also an assistant coach on the 18's team that claimed silver at the 2012 Junior Olympics. In addition, Green won the championship at the 2012 Volleyball Festival with his SCVC girls' 14's team.
Prior to his stint with SCVC, Green was the owner, administrator and head coach of X Volleyball Club from 2003-07. He also previously coached with the LBC Volleyball Club, Club Manhattan, South Coast Volleyball Club and Torrance Volleyball Club.
Green was an assistant boys' coach at Mira Costa High School from 1997-2004, helping the team win the 2001 national championship and back-to-back CIF titles in 2001 and 2002.
From 2003-09, Green coached and trained various women's professional beach volleyball players at AVP and FIVB events, including Kerri Walsh-Jennings, Misty May-Treanor, Jen Kessy and Rachel (Wacholder) Scott.
Green played two years at CSUN where he led the Matadors to the MPSF Tournament title and an NCAA runner-up finish in 1993. He went on to receive his bachelor's degree in business administration from Belford in 2008.
