Former Long Beach State golfer Tyler Schafer joins Rob Murray on his staff in the spring of the 2024-25 season.

Schafer was a First Team All-Big West selection as a senior, becoming the fourth individual golfer in program history to be selected for the NCAA Regionals, finishing 14th at the Stockton Regional in 2022. A GCAA All-West region selection that same season, Schafer was also an Honorable Mention All-Big West pick in 2021 as a junior for Long Beach State.

Following his collegiate career, Schafer recently competed on the Asher Tour.
