Kassidy Teare
- Title:
- Director of Operations
In January of 2019, LBSU men’s golf head coach Michael Wilson announced the addition of Kassidy Teare to his staff as the new Director of Operations at the Beach. Teare was a member of the Long Beach State women’s golf program from 2012-2016, winning Big West Women’s Golfer of the Year as a senior.
“We are excited to have Kassidy return to The Beach,” said Wilson, who is in his second season as LBSU’s head coach. “I know her passion, intelligence and drive will benefit our program tremendously. She has already left a lasting legacy on the women’s program here and we look forward to her help in bringing excellence to the men’s side.”
Teare was a two-time NCAA qualifier after a pair of Top 5 finishes at the Big West Championships in 2015 and 2016. The Vista, Calif. native was a Second Team All-Big West selection as a sophomore before earning First Team recognition in each of her final two seasons at the Beach.
“I couldn’t be more thrilled to be back at the Beach and be on the side of athletics once again.” Teare said. “Long Beach State Golf has such incredible potential for greatness and having the opportunity to be a part of it makes it even more exciting for me. From a student athlete, to working in athletics, watching other athletes achieve their goals and break records is what it’s all about. Long Beach State is special, you can feel it on the campus and through the hard work all the staff puts in day in and day out. I’m very excited for the opportunity to work alongside Coach Wilson and watch this men’s team go as far as I know they can. Go Beach!”
Following her collegiate playing career, Teare remained with the women’s golf program as an assistant coach during the 2016-17 season. From there, she advanced to the professional ranks and competed on the LPGA Tour in 2018, making her first cut at the Kia Classic on Mar. 22.
