HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered two years at Millikan High School for head coach Raul Olivas • was a first team All-Moore League selection as a senior, a first team Long Beach Press-Telegram “Dream Team” member and was named second team All-CIF Southern Section • led Millikan to a 17-11 mark and a second place Moore League finish at 10-2 • averaged 20.3 points per game • was a McDonald’s All-American nominee as a senior • team advanced to the second round of the CIF-SS Division IAA playoffs • defeated Highland 65-60 in the opening round before falling to Redlands East Valley, 76-66 • as a junior he was named first team all-league and to the Long Beach Press-Telegram “Dream Team” first team • averaged 22.0 points per game.
