2006 (Redshirt): Spent 2006 as a medical redshirt to heal a a rotator cuff injury suffered at Mesa CC in 2005.

Prior to LBSU: Spent his freshman season at Mesa Community College, batting .354 with 62 RBI, six homers, 15 doubles and two triples as part of the Wood Bat Arizona Community College Athletic Conference… earned All-Region and All-Conference honors, leading the league in RBI… missed the entire 2005 season after suffering a torn rotator cuff during his sophomore season.

High School: Three-year varsity letterman in baseball and earned two varsity letters in cross country at Bonanza High School in Las Vegas, Nev..

Personal: Son of Elizabeth and Robert McMurray… both parents are graduates of the University of Wyoming… comes from an athletic family, grandfather, Bob, was drafted by the Brooklyn Dodgers, father, Robert, played baseball at the University of Wyoming, cousin JR Peroulis played football and Arizona State and Utah, another cousin, Derek Smith, played basketball at ASU, and cousin Justin was a decathlete at the University of Wyoming… majoring in biological anthropology.
