Federico Gulisano Named Big West Player Of The Week

Gulisano scored 15 goals to lead No. 6 Long Beach State to three wins at the MPSF Invitational.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Federico Gulisano was named the Big West Player of the Week after a strong weekend at the MPSF Invitational.
Gulisano powered Long Beach State's attack, netting 15 goals over four games against ranked opponents. He had an impressive seven scores in Long Beach State's overtime victory against No. 9 UC San Diego.
The sophomore also added four goals against both No. 3 Stanford and No. 11 San Jose State as he posted an impressive .600 shooting percentage at the invitational.
Gulisano leads the Beach with 36 goals this season, and has also added eight assists and eight steals.
This marks the first Big West weekly honor for Gulisano and the second for Long Beach State this year. Corbin Stanley previously earned the honor on September 2 after scoring 21 goals during the opening weekend.
Long Beach State returns home for a pair of games at the Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center this weekend. The Beach will take on No. 10 Pacific on Friday before facing No. 5 Fordham on Sunday.
