Jacob Eyman Officially Joins Long Beach State Coaching Staff

Eyman becomes the program’s first fourth assistant as new rules have allowed for NCAA Coaching expansion.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – After two seasons as the program's Director of Player Relations, Jacob Eyman has been promoted and will remain on staff as an assistant coach with the program.
In his first two seasons with the program, Eyman assisted with multiple areas of the program, including logistics, video coordination, practice planning and scout team implementation. In his new role, Eyman will take on a larger role in recruiting, player development and scouting alongside returning assistant coaches Anthony Santos and Phillip Scott and new addition Greg Howell.
"Jacob has earned this opportunity through his work ethic, professionalism, and commitment to our program," said head coach Chris Acker. "He has been instrumental in helping us build our roster, and his attention to detail and relentless approach to recruiting have made a real impact. As a Long Beach native, he understands what this program means to our community and takes great pride in representing it. He has built strong relationships and earned the trust of everyone in our program through the way he works each day. I'm excited to see him lead our recruiting efforts as we continue working toward building a successful program."

The 2026-27 season is just around the corner, with season ticket sales and the schedule announcement coming soon.
