LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Men's Basketball has announced the commitment of Grgur Brcic, a 6-10 Croatian who spent last season with Bucknell.
Grgur Brcic | Forward | 6-10, 235 | Zagreb, Croatia
With the Bison in 2025-26, Brcic had his most effective season to date, averaging 4.3 points and 4.8 rebounds while playing in 18 games before missing the majority of the back half of the season due to injury. His best moment came in a game against UMBC, where Brcic set a pair of career highs with 14 points and 16 rebounds. Prior to transferring to Bucknell, Brcic played for two seasons at Bucknell where he averaged just under 10 minutes per game as a freshman and sophomore.
Acker on Brcic:
"Grgur gives us another tough, physical frontcourt presence with real size, experience, and a high-level motor. What really stands out about him is his deceptive athleticism at his size. He moves extremely well, runs the floor, rebounds outside his area, and can impact plays above the rim while bringing toughness and physicality every possession. He's also someone our staff believes has tremendous upside because of his work ethic and approach to development. He has been part of winning programs, understands team basketball, and fits the identity and culture we are building here at The Beach. We're excited to welcome Grgur to Long Beach."
Brcic is the fifth Division I transfer to join Long Beach State for the upcoming 2026-27 season. The Long Beach State roster is close to completion.
