Long Beach State Women's Basketball Signs Amber Furch To 2026-27 Class

The Beach has added veteran leadership and scoring ability to their 2026-27 roster with the signing of transfer guard Amber Furch
LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Long Beach State has officially signed Amber Furch, a senior guard from Los Angeles, Calif., who joins the Beach after spending the last three seasons at Saint Michael's College.

Furch returns to Southern California after building a successful collegiate career with the Purple Knights in the Northeast-10 Conference. A skilled perimeter scorer and versatile backcourt player, she brings valuable collegiate experience, leadership, and offensive production to Long Beach State.
During her freshman season in 2023-24, Furch emerged as one of the top newcomers in the conference, earning Northeast-10 All-Rookie Team honors after averaging 9.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game while scoring in double figures 14 times. She recorded a career-high 21 points against Franklin Pierce and added a 19-point performance against Adelphi.
As a sophomore in 2024-25, Furch was limited by injury but continued to showcase her scoring ability when healthy. She posted a season-high 20 points against Post and added 12 points, four rebounds, and five steals against Saint Anselm before missing much of the remainder of the season.
She returned in 2025-26 to appear in 26 games with 24 starts, averaging 7.6 points and 2.2 rebounds per contest while helping lead the Purple Knights. Furch scored a season-high 16 points against Dominican and matched her career high with six steals against Bentley. She also dished out a season-best five assists against Franklin Pierce.
Over three seasons at Saint Michael's, Furch appeared in 62 games with 60 starts, totaling 520 points, 178 rebounds, 98 assists, and 89 steals while averaging 8.4 points and 2.9 rebounds per game. Off the court, she earned Northeast-10 Academic Honor Roll recognition in three consecutive semesters and is majoring in Psychology.
