Women’s Golf To Play Final Tournament Before Big West Championship At Chevron Silverado Showdown

The tournament will be held over three days starting April 7 at the Silverado Resort in Napa, Calif.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Women's Golf will head to the Napa Valley and the Silverado Resort to take part in the Chevron Silverado Showdown, co-hosted by Oregon and Colorado over three days beginning on Monday, April 7.
The Chevron Silverado Showdown will be the final tournament for the Beach before Long Beach State takes on the Big West Championship the following week on April 13-15 as LBSU looks to repeat as champions.
Long Beach State took fourth place in their last action at the Silicon Valley Showcase, and will return to the same lineup at the Silverado Resort.
Junior Jasmine Leovao has led Long Beach State in each of the team's last two tournaments, including a Top 10 finish at the Silicon Valley Showcase and will lead the lineup. Janae Leovao will play second for the Beach. Janae had her fifth Top 20 finish this season at the Silicon Valley Showcase.
Erin Lee and Madison Le each tied for 27th at the Silicon Valley Showcase, the best finish of the season for both on the year. Lee had a season-best 71 in the second round from Green Hills County Club, while Le had a consistent tournament on the way to a Top 30 finish. Graduate transfer Hannah Jugar will round out the lineup for the Beach.
The strong field will be highlighted by co-hosts Oregon, who come into the week ranked No. 3 in the country with three other teams in the Top 25 in No. 7 USC, No. 10 Northwestern and No. 16 Arizona. The rest of the 17-team field features Boise State, California, Cal State Fullerton, Colorado, Iowa State, Oregon State, San Francisco, San Jose State, Seattle, Stanford, Utah Valley and Washington.
