Men’s Basketball Adds Junior College Standout Christian Jones

Jones led Angelina College in scoring as a true freshman last season.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Another standout guard has joined Long Beach State as Christian Jones has committed to joining the Beach in 2024-25.
Christian Jones | Guard | 6-4, 180 | Los Angeles, Calif.
Christian Jones joins Long Beach State with three years of eligibility remaining, as the sophomore had a tremendous freshman season at Angelina College in Texas. Jones was the leading scorer for Angelina, averaging 10.4 points per game while shooting 45.6 percent from three and adding 4.1 rebounds per game. Behind his leadership, Angelina went 28-7 overall and 18-4 in league play, reaching the Quarterfinals of the NJCAA Division I National Championship. Originally from Los Angeles, Jones played his high school ball with Bishop Montgomery High School.

Jones is the second spring signee for Long Beach State, joining DII transfer Rob Diaz III. The pair of transfers join incoming high school recruits Dallas Washington and Gavin Sykes in the incoming class of 2025-26 for Long Beach State Men's Basketball.
