Jones-Brown Notches Double-Double As Beach Drop 73-34 Road Contest At Colorado State

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Long Beach State Women's Basketball (0-2) was held in check Sunday afternoon, falling 73–34 to Colorado State (2-0) at Moby Arena.
JaQuoia Jones-Brown led the Beach with the program's first double-double of the season, finishing with 13 points and ten rebounds. Brynna Pukis and Judit Oliva Fernandez added six points and six rebounds apiece.
Colorado State opened with 24 points in the first quarter to take command early, and the Beach were unable to close the gap. Long Beach found a rhythm from beyond the arc in the second half, shooting 60% from three in the third quarter and 42.9% in the fourth, but the Rams maintained control for the duration.
The Beach return home for their next contest on Wednesday, November 12, to host future Big West opponent California Baptist at the Walter Pyramid. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
