Women's Basketball Falls To Wyoming On The Road, 72-39

LARAMIE, Wyo. — The Beach struggled to find their rhythm on the road Thursday night, falling 72-39 to Wyoming at the Arena-Auditorium.
JaQuoia Jones-Brown led the Beach with 13 points, three assists, and two steals to anchor the offense. Judit Oliva Fernandez added nine points, while Lauren Cummings grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
Long Beach State forced 13 turnovers and scored ten points off of those miscues, but Wyoming countered with 18 points off Beach turnovers.
The Cowgirls opened strong with a 23-4 first quarter and held the Beach to single digits in both the first and third periods. A seven-point run in the fourth quarter, the team's longest of the night, wasn't enough to close the gap.
The Beach continue their road trip at Colorado State on November 9, with the game streaming live on the Mountain West Network at noon.
